My girlfriend and I started this hike at 6AM and got to the peak in around 3 hours and 15 minutes. The weather was beautiful — not too cold at all, I would said mid-50s. When we reached Icehouse Canyon there were some spots of wind and it was a bit colder, but bearable. The peak was nice and not windy, with maybe 5 other people at the top. It warmed up on our way down but it wasn’t too bad. There wasn’t too much cross traffic on the way down up until the last mile or so, where most families hike with their younger children. I did this hike solo last year and it was challenging, but it seemed a bit easier this time.. especially the last stretch :).
