We drove an hour and a half to get to the Red Box trail head. It was extremely windy at the start. My hat blew off twice and I had to chase it. Haha! Like everyone says, it is fairly easy until the last 1 1/2 miles. Beautiful views too . A bit sandy which made it slippery in spots. Bring your poles. They are helpful especially on the descent. I think we counted 4 false peaks before we finally came to the actual Strawberry Peak! Yay! We met another Socal hiker at there. Very nice. All in all a great hike!
