Apart from a steep ascent over the last half-mile, the majority of the trail is quite a leisurely/easy walk. I definitely wouldn't class it as “hard”. More like “easy” with a little “moderate” at the end. That said, the ending is steep with some loose dirt, so bring your trekking poles if you got 'em.
A nice, quiet trail, I almost passed nobody at all on my hike and judging by the trailhead's “sign-in” sheet it seemed to be a pretty accurate idea of what it's usually like. There is ample parking right across the road from the trailhead, along with a candy store/bakery nearby with lovely, helpful staff.
Not my favourite hike in the area, but definitely worth going just to be with nature and away from the crowds.
