I had to mentally prepare for this hike as this was my first attempt to the highest peak in Southern California. I took the time to rent an Airbnb near the South Fork trail to acclimatize my body to the altitude. I also ate breakfast and hydrated throughout the trail. I was very fortunate during my hike because I felt great and really enjoyed this hiking experience. The trail conditions were fine. There were lots of tree trunks fallen on the trail. The weather was great and not too warm. This was an amazing experience for me and reaching the summit was an unforgettable experience. Here's to gifting myself more beautiful hiking memories!
