This hike was tough, but we left plenty of time; completed it in 8 hours. The obstacles were minor…couple of downed trees, but most were cleared. Be prepared for steep climbing and take plenty of water. It was about 70-75 deg. in the sun, but about 50 at 6am when we left. The parking was fine b/c we got there at 6, and we think most people probably thought it was still closed. The trailhead said closed, but the men repairing it said it had been reopened and the signs just hadn't been taken down yet. It was worth every minute, and great training!
