Amazing day on the mountain reliving all the times I have summited whether on foot or bike. After living in socal for 10 years, I returned to my old training ground for a short camping trip. Had to do a shorter route due time constraints but i have summited both north and south peaks on trail from all directions (Clayton, Morgan territory, Danville) including my annual birthday run to the top. I know this mountain like the back of my hand and all the memories came rushing back. The landscape and vistas have changed a bit since the fires but the views still take my breath away. Unfortunately, I was saving the full route to the peak for the end of 2022 since it was my favorite but, one week after completing Rose Peak, I fractured my ankle on a trail run and have been out of commission for the rest of the year. Rest assured I will return to the mountain as soon as I can!!
