My first time hiking O’Leary and it was a treat! I didn’t get to hike it in previous challenge years due to forest closures and monsoon flooding so I was excited to finally try it this year. I was skeptical that I would enjoy hiking a road for 10 miles and it was much nicer than I expected most likely because it’s only used for the fire lookout crew and very well maintained. The views along the trail are spectacular! It really showcases just some of the geological and geographical diversity that exists in our beautiful state: volcanic craters and lava flow fields to alpine mountains and high desert in between. 😊 I love AZ and I now love this hike too! Thank you to Six pack of Peaks Challenge for introducing me to beautiful gems like this. 🥾😊💖
