I can hear the song in my head right now:” On this perfect daaay.. nothing standing in my way..” 🎶

Perfect sunny yet cool weather, nice but a bit windy at the top, clear, and wonderful this hike was an absolute joy. It's a gradual incline the entire way, and the trail is very well kept up. The trail as about a mile longer than All Trails says, but it didn't feel bad. Honestly, since we did Bunny Trails to Helen Lake last week in a snowstorm, this one felt a bit leisurely in comparison 😅 I liked this one a little better than Lassen Peak due to its variety in scenery. It had breathtaking views from the get-go. One little wet area, but we had fun playing balance beam across some tree trunks already there. We have now done 6 of the seven peaks, but we have to redo Castle Craags as we did it too early and didn't make the very end due to snow. We will be doing all 7 this year. It's hard to tell which peak is my favorite but this one is a close contender. We took our time a bit to stop and take it all in and were out and back in just under 6 hours, with quite some time just enjoying ourselves at the top. There were about 20 people at the top, but it was fun to watch everyone pose for pictures.  Careful, it gets breezy. My husband almost lost his hat, chasing it across before it went over the edge, and another guy almost lost his bag of potato chips. It gave us something to giggle about but seriously .. I wonder how much of people's stuff is sitting down below😂. We will be doing this one again for sure!
