Another training hike for Mt Ranier by the Happy Hikers.  We camped at Manker Flats campground to make the early start easier.  We went up the Baldy Bowl side, and most of us were grateful for the outhouse at the Ski Hut.  It is still kind of difficult trail-finding at the top of the Bowl with all of the informal trails.  We were glad to have the brown poles with the yellow tops to guide us.  We decided to come down the Devil's backbone and the ski runs, past the lodge.  one person in our group was disappointed the lift down to the parking lot was not running!.  Another beautiful day for a hike, just a little awarm on the way down the access road.
