Perfect weather, high clouds 70 degrees. Started out from Chantry flat around 8:30am. Hiked the sturtesvant trail to spruce grove campground before the steep switchback ascent. After reaching the summit, I took in the views and looked around the observatory and astronomy museum, I searched for the descent trailhead to Winter Creek. It is truly in the center of the far side of the parking lot, though it s not easily spotted. Made a fairly quick descent back to the car roughly 2 to 2 1/2 hours back to the car to complete the loop. Mt Wilson was beautiful, fun and a great challenge for my first of Six!
