We had backpacking permits for San G this weekend but then the fires happened and they canceled all permits within that time(so sad). So we did Ontario which is lovely. We meet at 6:00 am and there was still parking but it was filling up. This hike is failure to me I have done Cucamonga, Ontario and the saddle a couple times. I do love this trail. It starts with the sounds of water and the landscaped changes each section of this hike. We ran into a lot of people that were very chatty so it was nice to have conversations with our fellow hikers. I think the entire hike with stops was like 9 -10 hrs lol We took it slow but steady. We got permits again for San G and are going Oct 6. So we will finish what we set out to do soon!
