It’s a really amazing hike. You start out at Icehouse Canyon and it’s a trail that has a river that runs through the first couple miles. As you keep hiking further up, you’re going to run into several switchbacks and climb up about 1,000 ft in elevation. After about 3.5 miles you’ll run into the saddle where many people stop to take a break and have their lunch. It’s also where many trails intersect and lead to other trails such as Cucamonga Peak. After that you take the trail leading to Ontario Peak. At about 7,500’ you see some patches of snow but with it being May it’s bound to disappear soon. At some point in the trail you run into a camp called Kelly Camp where many people camp out for the night for fun or for doing overnight hikes. As you keep going along the trail you get to see great views of the San Gabriel mountains, Mt. Baldy, and other cities in San Bernardino County. Great hike overall.
