So, Mount Umunhum is suppose to be a moderate 8-mile loop tops! However, we discovered midway through our hike that we had parked at the lower parking lot, which means we were going to hike an additional 10 miles. Of course this happened and of course, this happened to us! I think we chose the best time to do this hike. Early November meant it was not too hot or too cold. The bugs were a minimum and the leaves were turning. We learned from Rose Peak that we did not want to get stuck in the dark. Towards the end when we could see the car, we both sprinted to the car being so happy that we made it back in time! The last two summits are going to hard, but I believe we can finish them in time!
