This hike was brutal! But also my new favorite out of Mt.Wilson and Cucamonga. Devils backbone and the hundreds of switchbacks at the very end were my favorite parts of this trail. The weather was so hot however, that I ran out of H2O at the top and it was a struggle to come back down. I would definitely do this peak again but bring more than 3L. We made the decision to head the longer way back to the ski lift to get water instead of the shorter way down the back of the peak through some waterfalls. As usual we had clear skies, I think we’ve gotten pretty lucky as far as weather goes. Overall we took 8 hours and walked 12 miles.
