Fantastic weather for a long hike. With out permit in hand we started out hike at 6:30 am. The 1st mile and a half were a little steep. After reading all of the reviews over the past couple weeks, I decided it would be safe to bring mosquito nets. Oh my gosh I’m so glad I did. The gnats were incessant. Once we reach the summit, it took a lot of coaxing and making fun of each other to climb the boulder for the final view. I’m so glad we did. The views were definitely worth the palpitations.
