Started out from Oak Grove trailhead, strenuous single track without shade until maybe halfway up. Lots of nats flying in my face…made it to the forest service road and kept gaining elevation. Really nice views and a nice summit area with picnic tables made for a nice lunch. Ran into multiple rattlesnakes lying along the side of the road basking in the sun, be careful, stay away from the road edges. Tough downhill on the single track. Overall a very rewarding hike as it completed the 6 peaks challenge for us.
