To put in perspective this was the longest hike I’ve ever done. The trail started off as a wide road and then transitioned to a narrow trail halfway through (about the time you reach one of the destroyed structures). The weather was hovering around 75 degrees throughout the hike but had sun exposure all the way through the peak. The bugs were buzzing around like I stole their sandwich. It was a very rewarding peak with a 360 degree panoramic view of the surrounding mountain ridges and valleys. The peak also included the second destroyed structure which later became known was a WW2 airplane watch hut. Overall, it was a very immersive trail with stellar views.
