Got an early start to beat the h We camp often at Paulina Lake – Little Crater but this is the first time hiking up to Paulina Peak. Trail is wide and solid with nice views along the way up if you turn around to look. Great to see the caldera with Paulina and East Lakes from the top and get a better sense of the enormous size of the Newberry Crater. A bit surprised as we got near the top to see the guardrails of the parking lot! Totally forgot there's a road to the top! Back home by noon.
