The parking lot was full by 7am. I had to park a quarter mile away. The conditions of the trail up to the saddle were nice. No bugs and the creek is flowing. At the saddle it was very windy. The wind died down after leaving the saddle. There is a snow patch directly on trail about halfway up the incline after the second saddle. The next snow patch is right before you get to the peak. Nothing major and it is melting fast. I got to the peak and there were only 2 people there. Found out that they are also doing this challenge and using it for Mount Whitney training. Good luck to them! After they left I had the peak to myself for about 10min. It was perfect. The stats – 12.4mi, 4200’ elevation gain, 6hrs 10min, drank 2L water, 20oz. electrolytes, veggie sliders, and various salty and sweet snacks. Happy Trails!

it was nice meeting you up there! Good Luck with Number 6 🙂
Thanks! I’m planning on finishing up the challenge with Mt. Baldy on 7/2.
