Camp Muir is not a peak, but it was the most challenging hike yet. The snow field is probably over half the hike, and it was steep and hard. Camp Muir is also the highest elevation for the PNW 6 Pack. Altitude sickness is real. I was a bit dizzy at times, but Jackie was gut sick and had a severe headache. About a quarter to half mile or so away from camp, it seemed like we would be there any minute… that stretch probably took an hour.
This was by far the coolest hike yet (we haven't done St. Helen's yet). The wild life is curious and not scared. We saw three deer, a marmot, and chipmunks. There were still some flowers in bloom. The day was clear, and the views were amazing!
