Easy trail, overall. Outstanding views throughout. The hike to Pinos Mountain is short, and relatively flat. The peak itself is not very interesting, with radio tower on one side and relatively good views on the other. The hike to Sawmill Mountain is more interesting, and after arriving at a wide saddle with a couple of tables, it narrows down with a good bit of up and down. Quick lunch at the second peak and back. The unique aspect of this hike is that there is a climb to one peak and then down, up again to another peak and down again, and back up/down towards the trailhead. Good weather for an enjoyable hike. Joanne got a bit of altitude sickness and needed to rest at the saddle.
