This hike was intended to be a recovery stroll after the fun but exhausting adventure at San Gorgonio Mountain on Friday and Saturday. This was an afternoon hike in part because I wanted to avoid the heat.  I started around 1611H. I had the trail mostly to myself with only one or two others on the trail. The weather was sunny but there was a breeze. Closer to the summit, the breeze was stronger. I took my time.  On this occasion I located the second survey marker near the picnic table by the beacon tower. The second marker was hidden between the trees but it was the true high point.  There were a few wildflowers. After that I headed back. It was around 2010H when I got back to the car but the sun had not yet set. All in all a good hike.
