My sister and I arrived at the trail at 7 A.M. We have hiked the trail several times before and wanted to see how fast we can finish. We completed it in 2 hours and 7 minutes. It took us 80 minutes to hike up and 47 minutes to run down. Trail running shoes are great to minimize any slippage and hold traction around rocky areas.
Additional info:
Traffic: There were a decent amount of people already hiking towards Potato Chip Rock and those traveling down.
Weather: Very foggy when we started, but quickly became sunny. There was limited amount of shade as you hike up so bring plenty of water, wear a hat and apply sunscreen!

Hello Reena, we were supposed to that one yesterday but did Sitton Peak today instead…great trail report! If you choose Sitton Peak as your next one make sure to read my trail report…start early and bring lots of water!
Hi Mary,
Thanks for your comment! I plan to start the 6-Pack of Peaks Challenge next year so I will definitely check out your report for tips 🙂
