I started the hike before sunrise on a weekday and enjoyed an empty trail until the way down. I made it up to Potato Chip Rock and then continued onto Mount Woodson. I didn't find any specific markers for the peak and just went off of what my AllTrails map said was the peak before turning around. The trail was easy to follow, and the weather and sunrise were spectacular! The elevation was a little tough but definitely more “moderate” than “hard.” Overall, a rewarding hike with great views of the ocean, San Diego, and Ramona.
