There are multiple trailhead that eventually lead you to Mt. Woodson summit, but we chose the Lake Poway to Mt. Woodson trail and boy, it was a workout! Due to the popularity of this hike, I wasn't expecting it to be at this level of difficulty. It is definitely a very scenic hike, but I think what made it hard was we started at 3pm while the sun was kinda scorching. It took us a little over 4 hours to cover the 7.2 miles (with about 2100 ft of elevation gain) but I think we lost a lot of time just because we kept stopping to hydrate. The potato chip rock is pretty cool looking! I will say that it looks better in pictures than it does in person so that's that.
