Weather: 75 degrees with 5-10 light breeze of wind
Total Miles: 4.2 Miles
Elevation Gain: 1218 Ft
Trail Conditions: Paved Road with only a small dirt trail from the highway to the fire road. Also some bugs but not bad
Hike: The hike was straight forward and once you get into the paved road take it all the way up to the towers and antennas and once you go past them you made it to the famous potato chip rock.
Environment: There was not a lot of people on the trail. I was by myself for the most part passing a few people going the opposite direction. Once I got to potato chip rock I was by myself for at least 15 minutes then a couple came and that was it. The scenery was good going up seeing a lot of boulders and at the top 180 to 270 degree visibility as well. The day wasn’t clear due to fog burn off but overall pretty good visibility.
