We decided to mix it up a bit and camped at the Los Coyotes Campground the night prior. The Los Coyotes Reservation was such a nice and welcoming place! We enjoyed a quiet (but chilly) campout and then powered through the first 2 “all uphill” miles early in the morning for gorgeous views. It was such a nice and relaxing way to enjoy the hike! They had even posted signs welcoming all Six-Pack of Peak Hikers. I hope everyone that visits the Reservation, whether it be camping or day hike only, observes the posted rules, leaves no trace and most importantly respects the land and the tribes wishes.
