Decided Friday night to hike Mt Baldy the following day.
I arrived at the parking lot around 0610 after a long drive from Chula Vista. Some hikers were already starting their hike and more were gathering in different spots waiting for their group.
After setting up my gear I took off right away and since I was doing a solo hike, I thought why not set a Personal Record (Time). I took Baldy Bowl/Ski Hut trail instead of Devils Backbone's Trail and to my surprise I reached the summit after 2hrs and 15min. After a short break/photo ops, I started heading down. I was back at the parking lot after 4hr and 5 min.
