Not gonna lie, the potholes on the drive up were pretty ridiculous, but the actual hike was great. It was a little crowded at some points, but it is Labor Day weekend. Its a rocky trail and there are a couple boulder fields to cross but the pup made it fine until the veerrryyy last bit leading up to the lookout. I had to have me friends stay with my dog while I went up to have a look around. The views were amazing even with some weather moving in. We got down just before it really started to pour so that was pretty lucky. I would recommend some layers for this hike as the weather does seem to change pretty quickly on the mountain and it is pretty windy and chilly at the top. Beautiful!
