I chose to do this last hike solo. It was by far the most challenging, but it was serene, and needed. I asked several friends, but in the end, it was God’s way of telling me to venture out alone.

There was plenty of water starting on the Sunol side as there is a creek/river the first few miles.

Nearly zero shade, glad I opt to do it so late in the season, although I only started the challenge in September! Views were stunning. Loooooong incline, but took breaks. Grateful to have poles on the way down too – just as much as going up!

All was well until I decided to venture toward another peak and found myself lost. (Hence the photo!) Wasn’t concerning until the sun started setting. I knew I was within a few miles of the trailhead. Came around a bend and off in the distance I spot a building. The trailhead!! Finished at dusk as the rains began.
