Was a great hike, accept, the weather was to be partly sunny, and the rain hit at the start of my decent. Although I got soaked, there is nothing more motivating to speed down a hill then the sound of Thunder in a pine forest recovering a wildfire. I finished in 3:42 and 2:20 of that was getting up and eating lunch. The hike itself is great and the cabin at the top smelled like maple syrup to me. A lot of people state the switchbacks are easy as they are long, they are long but if your not used to the altitude (I am not) its challenging. At mile 2 I had climbed 2,500 in elevation, that is quite a lot!
