My birthday weekend finally had came, and I was so ready to hit this peak. Its been months training for the trails and learning what to pack in my backpack. I even went out and bought some nice trekking pole to help with the rocky area of the trail. My brave partner Brant from church whom been last few months helping me prepare for this hike thinks Im crazy. Many wants presents, cakes, party…etc.. for their birthday but with me.. Lets go conquer this peak! We got there at 8am, MISTAKE!!! Parking lot was full, we end up parking down the street which added an extra mile to our hike. No worries, day is still young. The morning light kisses the leaves on the tree was just breath taking as we head off into IceHouse Trail. The sounds of the river/creek was just magical. Few miles in, not to bad… the… Rocks and rocks everywhere!!! Thank goodness for my trekking pole, it sure helps with those rocks trail. Then there was water flowing throughout the trail, so we did some rock hopping.  Along the path you were able to see some ice house cabin here and there, some looks abandon and broken, others looked like its ready for me to spend my vacation in there. Once we had reach to the top, its just an amazing view. I cant wait to go back and do it again!
