It was a nice hike overall, a bit buggy but that comes with the territory since it was the end of July. Bring plenty of water as the sun gets pretty tough on the way back so I suggest you start this hike no later the 7am. I took 3 litters of water and drank it all by the time I got back to my car. last but not least WATCH OUT FOR RATTLESNAKES!! I saw a nice size rattlesnake at the beginning of the trail about 500 feet past the fallen trees on the trail near the begging of the hike. If you are taking you pooch please keep them on a leash I would hate to hear of a dog getting bitten by a rattlesnake.
