Reality Check Time

Trailhead:

Sierra Madre

Trail Conditions:

ROAD:

Bugs:

Snow:

We are a group of three women and we have named our group Solemate hikers. We started our day early driving from Murrieta at 0500. We where expecting a cloudy day but instead we started with clear blue skies and a crisp cool morning. It was crisp enough for us to wear our gloves and jackets. We soon removed them after a mile or so.
The trail was bumpy, rocky, sandy and had a landslide at one point. This hike has been one of the most challenging so far. Had I not been with the two other women, Cristen and Laura, I would have quit and not completed the hike. But with the encouragement of my sole mates we completed the hike. I love the time spent on trails it’s so natural to spend the whole day just focus on the trail.
