Life and hiking mountains are alike.  You start slow and flat (kind of), then start climbing… then you think you have reached the top… to realize there is more to go.  You may be on a little plateau, or downhill…and keep going up a few times. Once you get to the top. Plenitude… Peace… Satisfaction…Sense of accomplishment and beauty…All together combines.  And you know there is “descending”!  However, it is a good descending!  While stepping down, one must know, that it is important to follow a good solid path.  So, there is no hard drops or falls. And if falling is a must do your best to minimize the effects.

This is our first hike for the summer challenge!  What a beautiful hike!  My husband and I started at 8 a.m. and finished just round 12 p.m.  We took plenty of water (3 L), a few snacks… and all the necessary and not needed (but recommended) stuff.   There were plenty of opportunities to stop and contemplate the amazing views.  Some areas were flat giving the chance to rest while walking.  The most amazing stuff for me was the rock formations and the different colors going up.  I knew I was closed to the top, when started to see top black soil.  On top, great 360 views.  Even he St. Francisco Peaks were visible with icing on top. #sixpackofpeaks!
