I’ve been doing interval training for a couple months and did the Double Dipsea trail 2 weeks ago so wanted to go for the long one first to keep up/work on endurance. This hike was hard just like it says in the descriptions. Pretty incredible the whole way, quick elevation gains mean great views right away. Wild flowers everywhere and the wind blowing terrific patterns in the grass made it visually stunning at every turn. I went through 3L of water on the way out and refilled at the campsite out by the summit, glad that was there. Do this one when you have your hiking game well worked out, shoes, pack, hydration, etc. I had to concentrate on the beauty and tell my legs to shut up and stop complaining.
