So, it was the hike that I am most scared of among all of Bay Areas 6 pack. And so, this was supposed to be the last hike that I was going to take up in 2023.
But, an impromptu decision to join a friend who is heading to Rose Peak turned out to be best the decision. We could not have asked for a better day to summit this hike.
If there's a day in the year that you could easily summit, it was the day we chose. Trail was in perfect condition after rains, little muddy here and there but easily passable. Lush green hills, early spring blooms, sightings of buffalos, shadows of clouds on the hills, creeks and gushing waterfalls, and a group of people that are passionate about hiking, and the conversations about mother nature, what more could one ask for?
This hike has lot more significance than just another hike I did. It is the longest day hike I had done so far, and probably the most beautiful too. It's the hike that brought a smile, raised my motivation to explore more, and made me realize how rewarding it is to be surrounded by positivity. Cheers to our tribe 🙂
