This was my 3rd time running up Mount Wilson but since Chantry Flats is closed – We did All Trails route Mt Wilson via Little Santa Anita Canyon. Started just before 6AM with sun just rising. Finished in just 4 hours out and back 14+ miles. Careful hikers and runners because those last two miles down are fully exposed to the sun – it was HOT coming down. Bring enough water. There is a water fill station at the top. We filled up and continued running back down. Nice shady parts – clear narrow trails. Last few miles to the summit are nice and spicy! WEAR BUG SPRAY – We ate a bunch of bugs with a consistent buzzing noise on the way up!
