The San Bernardino Peak trail is lush and beautiful! The snow is gone, so put away your microspikes. The trail itself is in great condition. I didn't understand the significance of the “Washington Monument” until I read that is was the initial point and match up with Baseline Road. The “baseline” is the significant measurement for land surveying and real estate throughout Southern California. The weather was beautiful with small clouds and clear skies. Beware of intermittent winds, though. Was able to see San Gorgonio, San Jacinto, Santiago and San Antonio crowning the gorgeous views.
