Perfect hiking weather today, clear but cool. There is about a half mile of dirt road to get to the parking lot, but if you take it slow it isn’t a problem. There were a few Camry and Corollas that made it. The trail is in good condition and easy to follow. The beginning and ending sections are pretty sustained uphill with a little break in the middle. I definitely wasn’t hydrated enough and started to feel the altitude towards the top. There are amazing views the whole way. I carried about 2.25 liters of water and went through all of it before heading down. I was glad to have my Sawyer squeeze so I could filter from the stream just above the campground. It is starting to ice up so I don’t know how much longer it will be viable. Overall a nice hike that kicked my butt a little bit.
