7/20/24. Backpacked to Limber Pine where we took our time to eat lunch, set up our tents & to nap to recharge before heading for a sunset hike to summit. Cool & comfortable camping under a full moonlight. Warm to very warm on the trail especially on exposed areas. Was just in awe how the burnt areas are slowly showing signs of life; the wildflowers were in bloom, green grass/shrubs are in abundance, even the burnt branches look like pieces of art! Bugs, flies, bees etc were sporadically noted but more so of the bees seen on those white & orange flowers. Saw deers. Lots of hikers & campers; could be because the Baldy & Icehouse Canyon trails were closed due to a wildfire from the previous week. I had a lovely time & will certainly come back.
