Started at 5.30am from the trailhead. Very hot and dry day with cool winds and sporadic cloud cover to give some relief.

The devastation caused by the El Dorado fire is just so sad. The burnt trees and ashy pathways. On the brighter side, lots of shrubs and wild flowers have started blooming making it very pretty. Prestine views of the city, San Gabriel ranges, San Jacinto and Big Bear Lake along the route closer to the top. Exhausted all electrolytes and ~5L of water per person. Pretty constant and gradual elevation gain all the way to the top. There is a small stream at ~6.2 miles (just after the Limber Pine campground) where you can refill your water.

Took us like ~7 hrs to the top and ~4 hrs down with like 2 hours on the top enjoying the view with some hot noodles and coffee. An amazing day overall.
