The first time I hiked San Bernardino Peak, I was taken aback by the vast sections of the trail that had been burned. It felt like walking through a place haunted by its past, with an eerie yet fascinating aura. Despite the somber landscape, vibrant wildflowers added splashes of color, reminding me of nature's resilience. As I ascended, the distant view of Mount Baldy was a stunning backdrop, offering a great visual reward. The highlight, though, was reaching the summit and seeing San Jacinto and San Gorgonio in the distance. Those peaks were calling my name, so that will be my next adventure.
