On a very cold Saturday morning I completed my 6th peak for southern CA!  I’m grateful the forest closure order was lifted so I could complete this one.  Multiple layers and fleece neck gaiter along with bright orange exterior jacket as hunting just started.  Signs of bear scat on trail made me also grateful I had my bear bell on my bag.  Limber Pines is the most beautiful overnight camp spot I have ever encountered and has me thinking about an overnight trip next spring.  Snow crossable but was crunchy and at the pinnacle of my personal comfort level without spikes.  All in all a glorious day to be outside, even with the previous fire devastation – I can only imagine what this trail was like 5 years ago.
