Peak #8 or 12! Unfortunately, this trail was hot, burned and buggy. We needed to squeeze it in before the end of the summer, but was pretty brutal. I got horrible blisters but powered through. We saw a few wild flowers bringing hope for new life while across the valley we could see the start of the fires near Big Bear. It was so sad seeing mountains on fire while hiking through a previously burned area. I’d love to hike this one again with cooler weather, less bugs, and no blisters.
