Question before I start! Is the road towards the trail head a one way road? Because it gets really close on my way out I felt like I was going the wrong way ? ? anyways. The drive to get there gets interesting since I mention that the road gets real close and it seems like it's only a one way road.

When we got to the parking lot i was surprised of the amount of cars already there. It wasn't that late only 8am but still for a hike that is hidden people seem to know about it.  The beginning of the hike is pretty straight forward. Beautiful forest like, is mostly shade through the first miles then the trail opens up. It gets a bit narrow meaning that if there are hikers coming either way you will get poked by manzanitas. Now other than that wow just wow it's an amazing hike, might be the best hike in san diego, but hey is my humble opinion.

It was a bit windy and dry but still it was a great trail. Roxy and I managed to passed two hikers once the trail open up. At this point if you look to your left you will see corte madera or san diegos half dome, It has a good resemblance to the original. Once we managed to pass the hikers we continued forwards. This part of the hike you start asending, it reminded me of straberry peak,  On the part where you start going up and then you think you're there and hold and behold you got more acending to do. You then decend and you get to see the split rock. We kept going and I keep thinking there was 4 cars and I've only passed 2 hikers, are they carpooling? Roxy and I continued and we saw two young ladies on their way back.  We keep going up and the wind picked up and as you looked forwards with the big manzanitas you could of swear you were on a scene of jurassic Park the brush moved as if something was running through it. I imagine alot of stuff lmao. Once we got to the summit we weren't sure where it was I figured it was on the tallest rock but no it was to the side. I took some pictures with the sign and enjoyed the view. Amazing views the wind sure made it even better.

On the way back alot of people were going up, like I said it seems fairly popular for a hike that is pretty hidden. Over all its an amazing hike will definitely do it again before the year ends, and with this we finish our challenge, now onto the socal challenge .
