Backpacked to Dry Lake on July 22 took six hours to get to our camp in 92 heat with high humidity but we made it! Bear in camp the morning of the 23rd took both rangers packs with food and did a number on our leaders earth wise bag it worked against the bear but all the food was in crumbs – so after the excitement we left to summit “Old Gray Back” saw the remnants of a plane crash on the way very sad – made it to the summit in about 3.5 hours lots of clouds so made the journey much cooler and more pleasant !!
