Unbelievable! I can't believe I almost forgot to log this hike?! My son and I did the hike together. The hike was beautiful but also long and very challenging. It was a 20-mile roundtrip hike, including hiking in the dark for several hours back to the car. The most challenging part of the hike is the last several miles up to the peak. There's a false peak, which dampens hope a bit, but we recovered our motivation back fairly quickly. It's also super easy to get lost, and there's no shade during the last several miles up to the summit. So, research the hike route thoroughly before heading out, along with turn-off points. It will save you a lot of time and headaches!
