This was one of my favorite hikes filled with a lot of adventure. Peak number 5!  We took the 9 am tram and started our journey. We took our time and paced ourselves. I brought a can of oxygen boost which really helped with the altitude. They sell mini cans in the gift shop. The weather was cool and got down to 40 degrees at the top. It was a perfect clear day and the view was spectacular!  Bring a jacket gloves and thermals this time of year. Also do your research and be prepared when you hike these peaks. We saw one helicopter rescue closer to the top due to dehydration and altitude sickness. And we were involved with helping a another hiker get rescued off the mountain due to something called Rhabdomyolysis. He’s was unprepared wearing shorts and he was freezing. We gave him a jacket, thermals, wrapped him in a biby and our friend tom gave him hot water.  Thanks to all of the people involved we kept him safe and warm until the helicopter arrived. The sun was rapidly going down by the time the helicopter and rescue team arrived. Thank god for head lamps because we needed them as it was dark by the time we got back at 6:45. I can’t wait to do this hike again.  It was amazing!
