The hike didn't start off very well, with more mosquitos and gnats than trees at the trailhead. As we moved up, the trail got better. Wildflowers were in full bloom and there were many small streams running along and cutting across the trail. Weather was extremely nice for July, and there were a few small snowdrifts at higher altitudes.
However, the hike wasn't all good. Trail conditions weren't very clear in some areas, and we often had to use a map. There were at least three fallen trees blocking the road, and trail signs were often inaccurate. Still, the view from the top was worth it.
